Review: The LEGO Movie 70800 Getaway Glider

I know what you’re thinking, this is a Club Penguin blog. And you are right (cue booing from penguins because I altered a quote from The LEGO Movie trailer for use as the opening for this post). However, in my defense I am totally looking forward to The LEGO Movie, which will release in theaters on February 7, 2014. Not long! I have decided to review three of the sets from the theme to get you guys excited for it and possibly become fans yourselves. Since I have no other place to do it, I’ll just do it here.

The main premise of the film is not too overly complex. In the LEGO universe, an ordinary minifigure named Emmet is mistaken as being the Special—the last living Master Builder—who can save the LEGO universe. With the help of an old mystic named Vitruvius, a tough young lady named Wyldstyle, and Batman along with a small troupe of LEGO DC Heroes, Emmet will have to unlearn everything he saw in the instructions and learn the power of imagination to defeat the evil tyrant Lord Business, who is bent on destroying the nature of LEGO universe and recreating it as he sees fit by gluing it together.

Check out the (epic) trailer below!

As you can see, this movie looks super fun. And from personal experience, so are the sets. I present to you, 70800 Getaway Glider!

Fair to Occur in February 2014

Hello grasshoppers! At Spike Monday today, Spike Hike confirmed that the party for February will not be a Hollywood Party, but a Fair! Many penguins were upset that there was no Fair this year, so lift those spirits, as we now know that the beloved party is RETURNING!

Here is an image from the meetup to confirm.
